We're a mother/daughter duo who loves to cook, sew, explore and photograph together. Now we're ready to share it all with YOU!

Can we talk about how rude traditional French toas Can we talk about how rude traditional French toast is? 😂You stand at the stove making one piece at a time while everyone else sits down to eat. By the time you’re finished, your coffee is cold and somebody’s already asking for seconds. Not today, my friends. This Pumpkin French Toast Casserole gets assembled the night before, hangs out in the refrigerator while you sleep, and bakes into a big old dish of pumpkin-spiced, cream cheese-filled, pecan-streusel-topped happiness. And the best part? You actually get to sit down and eat breakfast with your people.Because cozy mornings should include the person making them cozy, too. ❤️Recipe at mommyandtheivy.com. Save this one for your next slow morning!#PumpkinFrenchToast #FrenchToastCasserole #MakeAheadBreakfast #CozyBreakfast #FallBaking
I love making something home made for my people, b I love making something home made for my people, but I don’t always have hours and hours and HOURS to spend in the kitchen. I’m guessing you don’t eitherThat’s why I love these giant buttery biscuits. Somehow, football Sunday at our house always turns Somehow, football Sunday at our house always turns into a thing. You really can’t be doing your best cheering for the Broncos one minute and the next Ivy’s dad is explaining why we suddenly care about some running back three states away on an empty stomach. Fantasy football, friends. It’s madness! Now, could I order pizza and call it good? Sure. But will I? No. I. Will. Not. Because I like having leftovers for lunch and frankly a girl can only eat so much pizza. There, I said it!Enter my Slow Cooker Chili for a Crowd! Ground beef, Italian sausage, bacon, Hatch green chiles, and a whole lot of flavor. I brown the meat, toss everything in the slow cooker, and let it get cozy while we enjoy the afternoon.Add some cheddar, sour cream, and a big slice of homemade beer bread, and dinner is handled. Because I love feeding my people, but I want to actually spend time with them, too. Recipe is on the blog! Link in bio.#SlowCookerChili #GameDayRecipes #ComfortFood #TheMommyAndTheIvy
I’m pretty sure fall and caramel go together like I’m pretty sure fall and caramel go together like peanut butter and jelly. And yes, I’m absolutely using that as an excuse to make brownies. 😂These Dulce de Leche Brownies are rich, fudgy, and swirled with what I lovingly call cheater’s caramel. They look like something you’d find in a fancy little bakery.Meanwhile, I made them in my perfectly ordinary kitchen, wearing sweatpants, with absolutely no intention of hosting a dinner party. And you know what? I think that’s my favorite part.Sometimes making an ordinary day feel a little special is as simple as baking something delicious, pouring a cold glass of milk, and sitting down long enough to enjoy it.No occasion required. No fancy pants either. The recipe is up on The Mommy and the Ivy. ❤️Tell me, are you team warm brownie straight from the pan or team patiently waiting for those perfect little squares?#DulceDeLecheBrownies #HomemadeBrownies #CozyBaking #BrownieRecipe #TheMommyAndTheIvy
Some days I have all the energy in the world to ma Some days I have all the energy in the world to make Some days….not so much. You know the ones. Work has been busy, the laundry is giving you the side-eye, and suddenly it’s dinnertime again. Didn’t we just do this yesterday? That’s why I love a good crockpot recipe.A few minutes of prep, a handful of simple ingredients, and by the time everyone’s ready to eat, there’s a big pot of creamy chicken chili waiting for us.Nothing fancy. Just a warm, comforting dinner that makes an ordinary evening feel a little more special. And sometimes that’s more than enough. Save this one for a busy weeknight when you want something homemade without spending the whole evening in the kitchen. The recipe is over at mommyandtheivy.com!#CrockpotChickenChili #SlowCookerDinner #ComfortFoodRecipes #CozyDinner #TheMommyAndTheIvy
I went thrifting with Ivy and accidentally ended u I went thrifting with Ivy and accidentally ended up back at my bridal shower. 😂Well, sort of.We found an old Pampered Chef stoneware pan, just like the one I got at a party my coworkers threw for me before I got married.Back when I was young, skinny, and thought owning every kitchen gadget was the secret to being a grown-up.And you know what sold me on that pan?APPLE CRISP. MADE IN THE MICROWAVE.I’m not kidding. So naturally, I had to bring the old recipe back. Granny Smith apples, graham crackers, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a little butter. It’s simple. It’s delicious. And it tastes like a memory. The recipe is up on The Mommy & The Ivy, and I’m pretty sure it deserves a second life.Tell me, did you ever go to one of those old-school Pampered Chef parties? Because I KNOW I’m not the only one who came home with a kitchen full of gadgets. 😂#AppleCrisp #MicrowaveAppleCrisp #OldFashionedRecipes #CozyBaking #TheMommyAndTheIvy
I love homemade cinnamon rolls. I really do. But I love homemade cinnamon rolls. I really do.But there are mornings when I want all that cinnamon-sugar goodness without turning breakfast into a full-blown baking project. And that’s where this Cinnamon Roll Snack Cake comes in.No rolling dough. No waiting for it to rise. Just a lovely cinnamon swirl, a generous drizzle of cream cheese glaze, and something homemade to enjoy with a cup of coffee.Because making an ordinary morning feel special doesn’t have to mean spending the whole morning in the kitchen.Sometimes a cake is just the thing
I know the calendar says September. I also know i I know the calendar says September.I also know it’s 90 degrees outside and I am NOT emotionally prepared to pumpkin-spice everything I own. 😂So before the last peaches disappear, we’re giving summer one more dessert. This Sourdough Discard Peach Cobbler has fresh peaches simmered in brown sugar and cinnamon, a buttery cobbler topping, and 70 grams of sourdough discard because you know we aren’t throwing perfectly good starter away around here.My little ARFID crew won’t touch peaches OR pumpkin, so apparently this one’s just for you and me, my friend. And honestly? I’m okay with that. More cobbler for us.Serve it warm. Add the vanilla ice cream. Let it melt down into all those buttery, cinnamon-peachy little corners.Pumpkin can wait until tomorrow.Today we’re having cobbler. 🍑Recipe is up now on The Mommy & the Ivy.#sourdoughdiscardpeachcobbler #sourdoughdiscardrecipe #homemadedessert
